Arie de Geus, deja initiateur du remarquable concept d'entreprise apprenante, propose ici, sous le double objectif de rentabilite et de perennite, une nouvelle facon de concevoir l'identite de l'entreprise, le co-developpement, le pilotage strategique et l'apprentissage.
Son livre montre qu'en se mobilisant avant tout sur sa propre survie, toute societe se developpe dans son milieu comme le ferait une entite " vivante ". Il ouvre ainsi des perspectives radicalement nouvelles pour la comprehension et le developpement des entreprises actuelles.
Arie de Geus a travaille pour Royal Dutch/Shell pendant 38 ans. Reconnu mondialement, notamment par Peter Senge, pour avoir introduit le concept de l'entreprise apprenante, il est aujourd'hui Professeur associe a la London School of Economics et membre du conseil du Center for Organizational Learning qui a ete cree au MIT
