Bob Edgar, Ph.D., works for Dialogic Corp., an Intel company and a leading manufacturer of computer telephony hardware and software components. Dr. Edgar started his software career as a theoretical physicist running mainframe calculations to simulate realistic quantum fields. Bob later founded and ran Parity Software Development Corp., a manufacturer of telephony software development tools, which was acquired by Dialogic in September 1999. Bob's previous book, "PC Telephony", has been a best-seller in the industry for many years.

L'auteur - Bob Edgar
, PhD, is founder and CEO of Parity Software Development Corporation, San Francisco, California.
Dr. Edgar is a respected authority on software development who is known from his articles in Dr. Dobb's Journal, UnixWorld,Computer Language,TELECONNECT, COMPUTER TELEPHONY and other magazines. He is known as a guest speaker at industry trade shows, and has presented several training seminars on voice processing at CT Expo '98.
Since 1988, Bob has lead the development team at Parity
Software
designing and creating VOS, an application language for
building voice processing applications using Dialogic
hardware on PCs. VOS has become an important development
tool for systems integrators, consultants, end users and
others creating voice processing solutions on PC
hardware.
