It becomes a holding buffer as we grow up, and we drag it behind us as we grow up.#4 The shadow is the whole unconscious, and it takes on a personal form once we begin to develop awareness of parts of it. It is through the process of shadow-work that we eventually gain a profound understanding of who we are.
