Le sens de la liturgie
Constantin Andronikof - Collection Théologies
Résumé
--
For the past two thousand years, the Church of Christ has been addressing God, giving voice to its faith and praises, requests and hopes, fears and certitudes. Established little by little over the centuries, the liturgy nourishes the minds and hearts of Christians. In this way, it transmits the revealed truths of Christianity and encourages us to reflect more deeply on the dogmas it reveals. However, the liturgy does not present discursive demonstrations it employs affirmative (or declarative) means, in a poetic form (sung for the most part). It is no less rigorous in its terminology than in its doctrinal content: the Holy Trinity God made man the Mother of God the world of angels Man, his fall and salvation the Church in prayer. Salvation is its leitmotiv and raison d'être. That is why the Law of Prayer (Lex orandi) is also the Law of Belief (Lex credendi), according to the phrase attributed to Prosper of Aquitaine. This book encourages us to ponder the relationship between dogma and mysticism, the identity of the praying subject (whether an individual or the Eucharistic congregation) and their comportment.
