Résumé
--
A complex book, made up of three parts spreading over several centuries, that is what modern exegesis teaches us to see in the Book of Isaiah. Nevertheless, it remains that the ultimate message that this prophetic text intends to transmit to its readers is to be found in the final redaction. So, without refusing the positive contributions of critique, the author attempts to reassess the whole book, to find the dynamics that run through the entire work, and lastly to introduce readers to the spirituality at work in these pages. The content of the Book of Isaiah is history, that of the tormented times of Hezekiah or that of the Exile. A unique history, but when all is said and done, quite close to our own times, in view of the challenges to be faced and the urgent questions it raises. Anne-Marie Pelletier's reading, commented, methodical and structured, invites us to listen to the voice which reveals things which would prefer to remain hidden unveiling the complicity of man with that which destroys, separating the chaff in human enterprise from the grain that resists death. This critique has only one aim: to perceive the thoughts of grace and life of a God who is determined to cure and save.
