This book is the fruit of conferences given by Father Henri de Lubac to Jesuit chaplains working with the young, organized in Chantilly by Father Blaise Arminjon in 1959. It was only after the Council that Father de Lubac managed to finish this work. By highlighting the Trinitarian structure of the symbol of the apostles, he is reflecting on the act of Christian faith, which expresses the momentum of the human being and his greatest form of freedom. In so doing, Henri de Lubac hopes to help confront the 'crisis in faith' which he perceived as the result of a lack of interest for the revelation of divine charity. The Lutherian Reverend Peter Bexell, who presents this new edition of 'La Foi chrétienne', is responsable for training in the diocese of Vâxjô (Sweden) and teaches sacramental theology at the University of Uppsala. His Masters thesis on the ecclesiology of Lubac was published. Here, he insists upon the genesis of the work and the maturation of Henri de Lubac's reflection, which the texts in the appendix allow us to follow, so gleaning the ecumenical influence of the book.
