Résumé
Create your own awesome effects and titles with this complete guide for novice and intermediate users of Boris Graffiti, FX, and Red. Beginning with an orientation to the user interface, section one then presents an overview of the preferences settings and the OpenCL features of the software. Then it introduces the essentials: how masks, splines, containers, and filters work; how to apply Boris effects through your NLE; and how to benefit by using the standalone applications. Advanced users will find this section useful as a quick reference guide. Look up a control or setting to see what it does or how to change it.
Step-by-step instructions on building example effects are presented in the second section.
Use them in your own work-or build on the ideas to create your own customized effects. These practical examples
demonstrate how you can create fantastic professional broadcast-quality effects that include:
- rotoscoping effects
- clean chroma key effects
- stunning animations out of simple still images
- animating text on a path
- type-on text in titles
- 3D extruded objects
- mapping media to extrusions
