Bruce Elbert

is an internationally recognized authority on information technology networks,distributed computing, and client/server application development. He has 30 years of experience in systems design, operation, and management and is currently director of systems development for a major communications services company. In previous assignments, Mr. Elbert managed the technical and business components of information networks for customers in Europe, the United States, Asia,and Latin America. As an early adopter of client/server computing, he was responsible for moving a mission-critical application in telecommunication resourse management from a mainframe to a
client/server-based application system.

Bobby Martyna

has over 15 years' experience in the computer and data communications fields,including six years designing and implementing distributed applications and protocols. He is currently senior system architect at Retix Corporation, where he was principal architect of the Retix X.500 Directory Services and the X/Open Application Programming Interfaces. He was a major contributor to the 1988 X.400 Messaging/Directory platform. He currently directs the integration and deployment of OSI services into distributed computing networks and environments to meet the
market demands for client/server applications, including remote database access, transaction processing, messaging, and network management.
