Résumé
JavaServer Pages, or JSP for short, is a server-side technology that takes the Java language, with its inherent simplicity, and uses it to create highly interactive and flexible web applications. In today's economic climate, JSP is particularly compelling for business: Java is an open language and thus JSP solutions are highly cost effective.
The founding premise of JSP is that HTML creates the basic structure of a web page, and Java code is mixed in with it to provide dynamic features. JSP is therefore an unbeatable way to learn about producing creative and interactive content, as well as get to grips with the popular Java language. This book will be your guide as you step into this exciting but sometimes confusing world.
You'll learn:
- How to get JSP web applications up and running
- Java, from the elementary principles through to more advanced concepts such as JavaBeans
- How to put Java to use to build interactive and dynamic websites
The book includes:
- Step-by-step examples explaining code in realistic scenarios, to build your knowledge and confidence of JSP and Java.
- A detailed case study pulling all the concepts together, so you can apply the techniques you've learned in the professional arena.
Who is this book for:
This book assumes some basic knowledge of HTML, but no real
programming experience is required. This book is also
suitable for more experienced programmers who need an
introduction to Java and web programming. All the code can
be used on a Windows, Linux, or UNIX-based system.
