Setrag Khoshafian, Surapol Dasananda, Norayr Minassian
Résumé
Jasmine attempts to solve the core problem of
information technologies: Managing its complexity, diverse
models, multimedia data types, and distributed
environments. The various components in Jasmine are bundled
together in one cohesive product and thus provide a
complete solution. Launched in 1996, Jasmine was developed
by, and has the support and backing of two large companies,
Fujitsu Limited, the largest software company in Japan, and
Computer Associates, the third largest independent software
company in the United States.
The Jasmine Object Database is the authoritative and officially endorsed publication on Jasmine. The book covers all major concepts and offers an overview needed by IT managers making investment decisions. It is also essential reading for object-oriented application developers and database administrators who are constructing the next generation of Web-centric applications and want to include a powerful multimedia object database. This group also includes software engineering professionals, information and library scientists and others who need to investigate new technology for their information technology needs.
