Résumé

Object-Oriented Systems Analysis and Design using UML introduces students to the overall process of systems analysis and design, and specifically shows how O-O techniques can be used. It also addresses transferable skills, such as those used in fact-finding and project management. The book takes a toolkit approach to analysis and design, using the key techniques from UML. It is structured in four sections, which can be combined in different ways to be of relevance for different modules. The first section is an introduction to information systems and provides the context; the second covers requirements analysis; the third covers systems and object design; and the fourth covers project management and more advanced issues.
  • Provides a clear and comprehensive treatment of UML in the context of the systems development life cycle without assuming previous knowledge of S.A.D.
  • Extensive use of examples and exercises provides many opportunities for the reader to practise the application of UML
  • a course book for Level 1 and 2 undergraduates
