This book is based on object-oriented techniques applied to software engineering. Employing the latest technologies such as UML, Patterns, and Java, Bruegge and Dutoit offer a cohesive, class-tested presentation of object-oriented software engineering in a step-by-step format based on 10 years of teaching and real-world software engineering experience. This text teaches practical experience in developing complex software appropriate for software engineering project courses, as well as industry R & D practitioners. The reader benefits from timely exposure to state-of-the-art tools and methods.

Unlike other texts based on the teaching premise of multiple classes or developing multiple systems, this book focuses on techniques and applications in a reasonably complex environment, such as multi-team development projects including 20 to 60 participants. L'auteur - Bernd Bruegge

Bernd Bruegge is a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Technical University of Munich and an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University. He is the recipient of the 1995 Herbert A Simon Aware for Excellence in Teaching in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

L'auteur - Allen H. Dutoit

Allen Dutoit is a Research Scientist in the Computer Science Department at the Technical University of Munich. His research interests include several areas of software engineering and object-oriented systems. He was previously affiliated with the Software Engineering Institute and the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems at Carnegie Mellon University.
