Java How To Program

Harvey M. Deitel, Paul J. Deitel

1100 pages, parution le 16/01/2002 (4eme édition)

Résumé

The Deitels' best-selling introductory Java book has been fully updated to reflect the recently introduced Java 1.3 SDK -- and to provide even more coverage of enterprise development with Java. Like all of Prentice Hall PTR's best-selling How to Program books, Java How to Program, Fourth Edition features the Deitels' signature "live code approach": thousands of lines of live code, explained with exceptional clarity by the renowned programming trainers of Deitel & Associates.

Java How to Program, Fourth Edition covers all facets of the Java language, including object-orientation, multithreading, exception handling, the Java event programming model, Swing and AWT graphics, and much more. You'll find thorough coverage of enterprise development with Java 2 Enterprise Edition's key APIs and technologies, including JavaBeans, JDBC, and RMI; as well as an eight-chapter, start-to-finish case study introducing Java object-oriented analysis and design with UML. It contains hundreds of real-world tips and techniques for writing high-quality code, improving performance and reliability, and efficient debugging. An accompanying CD-ROM contains all of the book's source code, up-to-date Java development tools, plus links to the Web's best Java demos and resources.
