Essentials of Systems Analysis and Design
Joseph S. Valacich, Joey F. George, Jeffrey A. Hoffer
Résumé
Essential
A Streamlined SDLC Framework:
In today's fast-paced world, where systems need to be
designed and in place yesterday, learning how to manage
that process with a four-step Systems Development Life
Cycle is essential. The four steps highlighted in this text
are: Planning and Selection; Analysis; Design; and
Implementation and Operation.
Essential
Three Illustrative Cases:
These fictional cases provide an opportunity for readers to
make use of what they are learning throughout the text.
Pine Valley Furniture: This case is introduced in Chapter 2 and revisited throughout the book. As key concepts are presented, they are applied and illustrated with this case. Includes updated WebStore coverage!
Hoosier Burger: Starting in Chapter 5, this fast-food restaurant case is used to illustrate how analysts would develop and implement an automated food ordering system.
Broadway Entertainment Company, Inc.: This video rental and music retail company extended case illustrates key chapter concepts.
This is a special international edition of an established title widely used by colleges and universities throughout the world. Pearson Education International published this special edition for the benefit of students outside the United States and Canada.
