Andre Persidsky wrote four previous editions of the Director QuickStart Guide, and co-authored Ray Dream Studio 5: Visual QuickStart Guide for Windows and Macintosh. A writer and product designer, he contributes articles to several computer magazines. Mark Schaeffer has more than 20 years experience as a producer of educational and training materials in print, video, and computer-based media. He has created interactive demos for Apple and Compaq, and video animation for educational publishers such as Houghton Mifflin and McGraw-Hill. He has taught Director, Flash, Photoshop and Premiere at the Center for Electronic Arts, Golden Gate University, the University of San Francisco, and San Francisco State University.
