Résumé

Computer Networking for the Small Business and Home Office supplies the information needed by managers and business owners to make solid decisions about networking. Author John Ross Presents the reader with a fresh approach to business networking. The book establishes a foundation for understanding network operation with discussions about linkages between the OSI model and network applications. In addition, it also takes the reader on a tour of Networking Trends such as Peer-to-Peer Computing, Distributed Computing, Web Servers, Portals, and Wireless Networks that have the potential to take the world of small-business and home-office networks to new levels.

The content provides a solid reference that covers all aspects of small-business and home-office network technologies. Although technical in nature, Ross presents the subject in a writing style that makes the language of the technology easily understandable.
