  • Techniques for applying these principles as you develop ASP.NET pages
  • The minimum amount of object-oriented programming necessary to work successfully and efficiently with ASP.NET
  • Key differences between ASP.NET 1.0 and 1.1, how to use the examples in this book with either version, and how to move from 1.0 to 1.1
  • Build ASP.NET sites faster using Microsoft's new, free WebMatrix tool

  • How you can make your ASP.NET site production-ready through proper debugging, optimization, and security

Who is this book for?

This book is for beginners who have no previous experience of ASP, VB, XML, object-oriented programming, or the .NET framework. A little knowledge of HTML is useful, but not essential. All the concepts you need to create dynamic ASP.NET Web sites are presented and explained in full.

L'auteur - Chris Ullman

Chris Ullman is a computer science graduate who has not let this handicap prevent him becoming a programmer fluent in Visual Basic, Java, SQL and Dynamic HTML. When not cutting up pictures by old masters to re-assemble them as dynamic jigsaws on his preferred browser, he's either found down his local soccer ground urging on his favorite team, Birmingham City, or at home trying to prevent his two new kittens from tearing up the house, or each other. All my love to Kate, who's always there to give me support and a home and usually tries to look interested when I explain the latest Internet based technology.

L'auteur - David Sussman

David Sussman gained experience in BASIC, Pascal, COBOL and OCCAM, before joining a UNIX system house where he stayed for 4 years, becoming the chief UNIX/C guru. For the last 3 years he has been working for a Microsoft Solution Provider, specializing in Access, VB and SQL Server, as well as playing extensively with every Beta product that comes his way.
Dave Sussman speaks frequently at Microsoft development conferences and has been writing about ASP since its earliest releases.
