Résumé
ASP.NET Components Toolkit
ASP.NET offers developers an exciting architecture for
building web sites from modular components. Using server
controls, ASP.NET developers can easily incorporate
pre-built chunks of functionality into their sites. They
can also develop their own controls, and build in
design-time support to make it easier for other developers
to reuse their code.
The ASP.NET Components Toolkit is a collection of reusable
ASP.NET components, all designed to serve two purposes.
First, they can all be used as they are, or with minor
modifications, to add exciting features to your own ASP.NET
web sites. Second, each component's design and
implementation is discussed, revealing tips and tricks you
can apply when developing your own controls.
Who is this book for?
This book assumes you are a practicing ASP.NET developer,
with some experience of VB.NET. Much of the code can be
developed in Notepad, although we do demonstrate use of
Visual Studio .NET, or ASP.NET Web Matrix in the
development of these components. No matter what your level,
you should learn something new in the description of many
or all of the components in this book.
The sample chapter PDF's used on our site are produced in

L'auteur - Daniel Cazzulino
Daniel Cazzulino (a.k.a. kzu) lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is a senior architect, developer, and cofounder of Clarius Consulting S.A.. He has coauthored several books on web development and server controls with ASP.NET, written and reviewed many articles for ASP Today and C# Today, and currently enjoys sharing his .NET and XML experiences through his blog, kzu:dotnet.
Daniel works closely with Microsoft in key projects from the Patterns and Practices group. Microsoft rewarded him as Most Valuable Professional (MVP) on XML Technologies for his contributions to the community, mainly through the XML-savvy open source project, NMatrix, that he cofounded. He also started the promising MVP.XML project with fellow XML MVP experts worldwide. Surprisingly enough, Daniel is a lawyer who found a more exciting career as a developer and .NET/XML geek.
L'auteur - Rick Delorme
Richard Delorme is a software developer with a bachelor's degree in information systems. He is an MCSD for Microsoft .NET and works with Microsoft .NET technologies. Delorme recently became a Certified Master CRM Developer and is currently studying to be proficient in Microsoft Business Solutions.
L'auteur - Robin Dewson
Robin Dewson - Robin Dewson: Robin has been hooked on programming ever since he bought his first computer in 1980, a Sinclair ZX80. His first main application of his own was a Visual FoxPro application that could be used to run a Fantasy League system. It was at this point he met up with a great help in his PC development life, Jon Silver at Step One Technologies, where in return for training, he helped Jon with some other Visual FoxPro applications. From there, realizing that the market place for Visual FoxPro was limited, he decided to learn Visual Basic and SQL Server. Starting out with SQL Server 6.5, he soon moved to SQL Server 7 and Visual Basic 5 and became involved in developing several applications for clients both in the UK and the US. From there he moved to SQL Server 2000 and Visual Basic 6. Robin currently is consulting at Lehman Brothers in London, where he has been for nearly 5 years, using Visual Basic 6 and Sybase on a trading system called Kojak. Robin is also the author of Beginning SQL Server 2000 Programming.
L'auteur - Matthew MacDonald
Auteur et programmeur de talent, Matthew MacDonald a écrit plusieurs ouvrages de la collection Missing Manual et une dizaine de livres consacrés à la programmation avec la plateforme .NET de Microsoft.
