Résumé
Find out how to access data with any Office 2000 product, Active Server Pages or Visual Basic using ADO - it's easy with this book!
The information that organizations need to conduct their business is stored in a variety of data formats, from traditional relational databases such as Access and SQL Server 7, to non-traditional sources such as Excel spreadsheets, email folders and even Word text files. Now, all of this data is available to application developers through a common Microsoft programming interface, ActiveX Data Objects (ADO). ADO Programming for Dummies shows Office 2000 VBA developers, Visual Basic programmers, web developers, or anyone who writes Windows scripts how to query data sources and present the results to users in a variety of applications. Expert author Rob Krumm is author of the popular Access 2000 Programming for Dummies with years of experience as a developer of commercial database programs. The CD contains sample data sources with which to experiment as well as the source code for all programs presented in the book. A cheat sheet lists the most used properties and methods of the ADO and OLE DB object models.
