Résumé

The more I chat with Microsoft Office Excel users, the more I discover that most folks don't know how powerful PivotTables are. This book shares my PivotTable skills with you to help you become a more productive Excel user. By the end of this book you'll be a PivotTable expert, quickly making better decisions based on the mountains of data that you encounter every day.

PivotTables help you combine and compare large amounts of data. You can easily rotate a PivotTable's rows and columns to analyze your data from different perspectives, and you can then drill into the specific data points for areas of interest. Specifically, you'll learn how to

  • Create PivotTables and manipulate PivotTables connected to data in Microsoft Office Excel workbooks
  • Use real-world techniques to analyze data using PivotTables
  • Analyze data in a more visual manner using PivotCharts
  • Programmatically automate creating and manipulating PivotTables and PivotCharts using Visual Basic for Applications code

Along the way, I'll provide you with a series of step-by-step tutorials, along with plenty of sample data, to help you become productive with PivotTables quickly and easily. In just a short time, you'll be analyzing data using PivotTables like a pro. I hope that you value this book as a great training resource and refer to it often as an indispensable guide to working with PivotTables.
