Managing E-Business Projects

Yen Yee Chong

222 pages, parution le 01/04/2001

Résumé

A roadmap for e-Doers -- not a vision statement for e-Talkers!
  • Specific techniques for delivering profitable e-Business projects on time and budget
  • Focuses on the B2B projects that represent 80% of the value of electronic commerce transactions.
  • Learning from the successes and failures of other e-Business companies and projects
Every e-Business project is, at the heart, about two things: business, and how to handle IT resources. Yet most people working to deliver e-Business solutions have a background in only one of these areas. Delivering on Your e-Promise bridges the divide, presenting a practical approach to successful implementation that both technologists and business professionals can share. Yen Yee Chang begins by reviewing each type of e-Business -- and cutting through the hype associated with e-Business to date. Then, focusing on the most promising B2B opportunities, Chang defines the components of a typical e-Business project, the external e-skills you are likely to need to succeed, the risks and pitfalls associated with e-Business deployments, and techniques for avoiding or minimizing them. For every e-Business professional, in technical, managerial, and marketing specialties.
